Supplemental Security Income (SSI) for Long-term Disability

• The Program Offers: Financial assistance to individuals with disabilities.

• Who Can Apply? Individuals with disabilities, including refugees and asylees.

• How to Apply: CLICK HERE to submit an online application for adults, or call Social Security to schedule an in-person or telephone appointment.  (You must schedule an in-person or telephone appointment to submit the full application for children)

Temporary Disability Insurance (Short-term Disability)

• The Program Offers:  Temporary cash benefits to New Jersey workers who stop working due to a physical or mental health condition or other disability unrelated to your work, including pregnancy and childbirth recovery. Most employers in New Jersey are required to have Temporary Disability Insurance for their employees.
