Important! Please carefully review What to Bring for My Intake Appointment at IRC and remember to bring all required documents to avoid a return trip.
Who should come to the intake appointment?
If you are applying as a single adult, bring documents and identification for yourself.
If you and a domestic partner (i.e., girlfriend, boyfriend, etc.) or spouse are applying as a couple and have no minor children who are living with you, you must both be present at your scheduled appointment and bring documents and identification for each of you.
If you are applying as a family comprised of adult(s) and minor children living together, bring documents and identification for all family members. Children do not need to be present at the appointment to be verified for eligibility.
Appointments are for scheduled applicants only. Other family members or acquaintances who may join you may not be seen at the same time. They will need to schedule a separate appointment of their own.
What if I will be late for my appointment or need to cancel or reschedule it?
If you are going to be late for a scheduled appointment, or need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please text 908-868-1193 via WhatsApp or SMS to inform us.
If you are more than 15 minutes late, there is no guarantee that you will be seen, and we may reschedule your appointment.
If you do not come to your scheduled appointment and we do not hear from you, you may need to wait several more weeks to be seen.
After you complete the Intake appointment, you will be informed of your eligibility for IRC programs and services. With your consent, you will be referred to all relevant programs.
